On Saturday, June 26th the IKA held its second Children's Competition before the black belt examination. It's becoming a tradition to finish the Saturday's class with a little challenge.
Pitting classmate against classmate. There were four divisions, Seisan Kata (beginners), Advance Kata (green belts), Weapon Kata (brown belts) and Kumite–sparring (everyone). Each student received a Spirit Of Excellence certificate, which was signed by Master Duessel and senior instructors Prentice and Washabaugh.
It was exciting, great fun delivered with excellent spirit. And top finishers got the honor of performing during the black belt examination. Sensei Prentice, Sensei Washabaugh, Sensei John young, Sensei Mehl and Junoir Black Bet Nick Young participated as competition judges.
